The Cultural Impact of Jordans
Most people think that the Air Jordans are just another pair of overpriced shoes that mean nothing, but thats where they are all wrong because Air Jordans aren't just nice shoes made to make money they served a different purpose they were the gateway to the future of the NBA and kids everywhere. Furthermore, When Michael Jordan first wore the Air Jordans in 1985 it was the first time anyones seen that, here is what I mean, back then in the NBA everyone had the same shoes they were all either white or black Converse, Adidas or Pumas which aren't really basketball shoes nowadays, but back then they were and the NBA had a policy on what color shoes players could where. Moreover, Legends like Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Dr. J all wore Converse in fact they were Converse they were like the superstars who put the name out but then came Michael Jordan a Basketball Player who played like something we have never seen before he literally flew out the building with his electrifying dunks which got him the name Air Jordan. Jordan was a different player and he soon would change the culture of shoes and the NBA because it ll started with him. So as I stated earlier the NBA had a shoe color policy and Jordan himself wore shoes that went against the policy and even though he was fined many times he still wore them Jordan soon realized he started a trend if you look at all his shoes each one stands for a certain thing they aren't just shoes they have history and meaning behind them he went against the League and started a trend that 30 years later is getting more and more popular people don't just wear these shoes they preserve them they are a part of sports history and this led the gateway to all players to express themselves through there shoes just like Jordan did

Expensive sneakers $$$ !!!!

Just thought I'd share this link here that will list you the top 10 most expensive Nike Air Jordan's of all time. As I was looking through this list I realized these prices getting more and more ridiculous, why do these sneakers cost so much? Is it simply the branding that gives them their worth? Or is it simply just the lust that society has for high fashion and "fitting in with the crowd." I myself as a sneaker buyer still do not understand the reasoning behind these upscale prices for something I wear on my feet.

An example of these lavish sneakers:
